Tunas Group Received Two Awards from PLN Batam for Renewable Energy (EBT) Utilization

(Batam, Friday 25/08/2023) Coinciding with the Semester II working meeting of PT PLN BATAM 2023, held at the Ballroom Hotel Radisson Golf & Convention Centre Batam, PLN Batam showed its appreciation to several business entities in Batam City for their Renewable Energy (EBT) utilization.

Tunas Group, through its subsidiary, PT Tunas Energi, which manages private power supply within the Tunas Industrial Area, received two awards during the event. The first recognition is the award for 'Outstanding Utilization of Solar Power (PLTS) for Green industrial estate from Dedicated Source Category', while the second award is for 'Outstanding Use of Solar Power (PLTS) Roof System for Smart Green Services (SGS) Category'.

"To support our green industrial estate, apart from the development of eco-friendly green infrastructure, the utilization of electricity with Renewable New Energy (EBT) is the main key to make our industrial estate more valuable. Also provide more benefits for business and the environment." Said Fredi Wibowo, the Director of PT Tunas Energi in his speech when receiving the awards.

Alongside PT Tunas Energi, other businesses were also acknowledged for their commitment to adopting Renewable Energy (EBT). Notably, PT McDermott Indonesia received an award for their utilization of Solar Power (PLTS) roof systems under the premium platinum service category, while PT Sat Nusapersada Tbk was recognized for pioneering the implementation of Solar Power (PLTS) roof systems in Batam.
